South Africa is located at the southern tip of Africa. Unlike many countries, South Africa has diverse cultures and languages. According to the constitution, eleven official languages are recognized. Two of the main languages include South African English and Afrikaans. English is the fifth most spoken language at home, although English is commonly used in public and retail stores.
The government in South Africa consists of a constitutional democracy containing a parliamentary republic. The head of state and head of government merge together in a parliament dependent president. South Africa's economy is based on tourist attractions, the intellectual capital, and fertile agricultural lands. South Africa faces many challenges such as high crime rates, AIDS pandemics, and low educational opportunities. Although South Africa faces these issues, it still has the largest economy in Africa as well as the twenty eighth in the world. About 79.5% of the South African population consists of black Ancestry.
