.abb Domain

The .abb domain extension is a restricted top-level domain delegated through ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program, associated with industrial automation, electrification, robotics, and power technology. Short three-letter extensions were a deliberate target in that round, and the application logic combined brevity with control: a closed TLD guarantees that every address under it is legitimate, which matters in an industrial supply chain where fraudulent invoicing and supplier-impersonation attacks are common.

Domains under .abb are issued internally and used for regional and product-division sites, technical documentation, partner and distributor portals, and service platforms. Public registration is not available at any price. For B2B and industrial organizations assessing a brand TLD, .abb is a representative case of the security-led rationale, where the extension underpins email authentication and supplier verification as much as marketing.
