Its business activities include oil palm cultivation, oilseeds crushing, edible oils refining, sugar milling and refining, specialty fats, oleochemiclas, biodiesel and fertilizers manufacturing and grains processing. The Applicant's manifold mission and purposes of applying for the .WILMAR gTLD are as follows:
i. To secure and protect the Applicant's key brand, .WILMAR as a gTLD on the Internet;
ii. To reflect .WILMAR gTLD at the top-level of the DNS' hierarchy on the Internet;
iii. To control all domains, online brands and content within .WILMAR;
iv. To provide the Applicant's authorized and/or registered users ("Legitimate Parties") a recognized and trusted identifier in the Internet. Such Legitimate Parties include, but are not limited to:
• the Applicant's subsidiary companies and associated companies established around the world and its over 300 manufacturing plants and extensive distribution networks covering China, India, Indonesia and some 50 other more countries
• affiliate partners and/or associates
• distributors, official dealers and retailers
• customers
v. The benefits to have the ability to own and control .WILMAR gTLD are substantial, as it will enable the Applicant to provide to its Legitimate Parties, within .WILMAR:
• a secure, convenient community that can reinforce relationships and build market share
• direct navigation to reach websites (applicants may be able to reduce its online advertising expenditures)
• enhance security on the Internet i.e. opportunity to control a distinct gTLD
• prevent third parties from registering desired gTLDs belonging to the Applicant and/or its Legitimate Parties obtaining genuine and secure information
• exchanging information
• communications
• new branding, marketing and promotions opportunities
• web space of affiliates and licensees
• Consolidation of internet resources under a house brand gTLD, i.e. all websites & email address can be consolidated under the same gTLD
