.vanish Domain Information
Stain removal and laundry products framed the .vanish application in ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program. It is a product-brand string filed by a household goods group that also applied for .finish, targeting names shoppers recognize from the supermarket shelf rather than the manufacturer behind them.
The string is also an ordinary English verb with obvious independent demand from privacy, security, and entertainment businesses. Product-level strings proved the more fragile choice across the round, since a rebranded or discontinued line leaves its extension with nothing to carry. The extension is not currently active in the DNS root zone and is not available for registration by any party.
