.piperlime Domain Information
Online footwear and accessories retail framed the .piperlime application in ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program. It was filed as part of a multi-banner portfolio by a single retail group alongside .gap, .bananarepublic, .oldnavy, and .athleta, assigning each store brand its own namespace.
Online-only retail banners proved the most fragile members of such portfolios: a digital storefront can be closed or folded into a sister brand far more readily than a chain with physical stores, leaving the extension with nothing to denote. The extension is not currently active in the DNS root zone and is not available for registration by any party.
