Integration platforms sit between other companies' systems, moving healthcare, financial, and supply chain data across organizational boundaries — a position in which a spoofed endpoint intercepts data belonging to parties who never dealt with the attacker directly.

The string is also an ordinary English noun of French origin, meaning a connection or channel of communication, which made it an unusually apt corporate name and placed it among the round's dictionary-word cases.
