The .aeg domain extension is a restricted top-level domain delegated under ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program, associated with home appliances and electrical products. Three-letter extensions were scarce and heavily sought in the 2012 round, and a closed one offers a particular advantage in consumer appliances: product registration, warranty, and spare parts pages are a common target for imitation, and an extension that cannot be registered by outsiders makes genuine service pages identifiable at a glance.

Usage covers regional market and product-range sites, support and manual libraries, and retailer-facing resources. .aeg domains are not sold, transferred, or listed on the aftermarket. The extension is representative of European consumer-goods participation in the 2012 round, where applications clustered around brands with long-established recognition across multiple national markets.
