Connected vehicle platforms carry an exposure that conventional automotive namespaces do not: the system receives software updates over the air into a moving vehicle, where a spoofed update source reaches safety-adjacent systems directly.

It was filed as part of a family of strings by a single automotive group covering marques, parts operations, and technology platforms.
