Streaming television and on-demand entertainment sit behind .nowtv, a restricted extension from ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program. Streaming services carry a doubled exposure: subscription accounts hold payment credentials, while unauthorised streaming operations imitate recognized service brands directly to attract viewers seeking free access.

Use covers service and package content, subscriber account destinations, programming resources, and regional sites. Registration is closed to the public and the extension carries no aftermarket. The string compounds a common adverb with a category abbreviation — a construction that produces something distinctive from two terms that would each be hopelessly contested on their own.
