Telecommunications, broadband, and mobile services in Hong Kong sit behind .hkt, a three-letter restricted extension from ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program. Telecom operators serve very large subscriber bases where billing, top-up, and account pages generate constant routine contact — increasingly on handsets, whose address bars truncate domains and make careful inspection impractical.

Use covers service and plan content, subscriber self-care, business solutions, and campaign destinations. Registration is closed to the public with no aftermarket. Hong Kong applicants were a small contingent in the round, concentrated in telecoms and property, and three-character strings were the scarcest asset available to any of them.
