Corporate research, benchmarking, and advisory services frame the .ceb application from ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program. Research and advisory firms brought a subscription-integrity concern to the round: proprietary benchmarking data is sold under licence, and unauthorised redistribution through sites that borrow the publisher's identity undermines both the commercial model and the reliability of the data itself.

A registry agreement was signed in April 2015, the extension qualified for Specification 13, and the agreement was subsequently terminated. Three-letter strings that lapse are the most consequential category of loss from the round, since brevity cannot be sourced from any established namespace.
