.aco Domain

The .aco domain extension is a restricted top-level domain delegated through ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program, associated with drainage, water management, and building products manufacturing. Short three-letter strings attracted concentrated interest during the 2012 round, and for an industrial manufacturer operating across many national markets, owning one removes the need to maintain a large portfolio of country-code equivalents to protect the same name.

Domains under .aco serve regional market sites, technical product documentation, specification resources for architects and engineers, and distributor content. The namespace is closed to public registration. It is a useful reference for manufacturing and construction-supply businesses, where a brand TLD's value tends to sit in consolidating dispersed country sites under one authoritative extension rather than in customer-facing marketing.
