.ASIA Domain Requirements & Criteria Asia FAQ - Must I have a dedicated server set up when I register for a .ASIA domain?
- Yes. At least two functioning domain names servers (DNS) should be presented for the registered name at request time. Non-accordance to this requirement can result in the failure of the completion of the registration.
- What kind of contacts will I need to have to register a .ASIA domain name?
- Aside from yourself (the Billing Contact), you will need two contacts - an Administrative Contact as well as a Technical Contact.
- How do I become eligible for a .ASIA domain name?
- In order to be eligible for a .ASIA domain, at least one of the Domain Contacts associated with the domain name must be a legal entity in the .ASIA Community.
* The .ASIA community is defined based on the geographical boundaries described by the ICANN Asia / Australia / Pacific region (www.icann.org/montreal/georegions-topic.htm). * For those entities that do not have a separate legal personality, such as a partnership in some economies, a natural person (e.g. a partner) may be used as one of the Domain Contacts and
named as the eligible contact.
