The .song extension is one of the round's closed generics: an ordinary English noun delegated on a restricted basis through ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program rather than opened for registration. The word has an obvious and very large constituency in music — artists, labels, publishers, streaming services, and songwriting organizations all describe their core product with it.

There is no registration channel, pricing, or aftermarket for .song domains. It is among the more pointed closed-generic examples, since the gap between the string's natural public utility and its restricted deployment is unusually wide, and the music industry has no equivalent namespace available to it.
