Who can Reserve/Register a .xxx Domain Name?"
Only Members of the Community will be eligible to register .xxx domains that resolve (that is a name that Internet users can type in and have their computer display a Web site).
What is a "Member of the Community"?
Members of the Community include those responsible memebers of the online adult entertainment industry and those that supply products and/or services to it (the Online Adult Community).
Verification of existing ownership will be carried out at the close of this process by using published Whois details.

What if I'm Not a Member?
ICM Regis-try (ICM) will offer individuals and entities that are not Members of the Community, an opportunity to register non-resolving domains if such registrants are concerned about potentially abusive registration
ICM Registry is delighted to announce that the ICANN Board has approved the .xxx top-level domain.
ICM Registry will now work with ICANN staff to complete the expedited due diligence on our technical and financial qualifications and to finalize the contract to run .xxx.
Expectation is that this step will proceed smoothly and will not impede the roll-out of .xxx and we expect to go live with .xxx domains at the start of 2011, if not sooner.
