.next Domain Information
Clothing, footwear, and home products retail sit behind .next, a short restricted extension from ICANN's 2012 New gTLD Program. The string is one of the most common adjectives and adverbs in English, placing it among the round's most contested dictionary-word cases — a term with universal independent demand, secured on trademark grounds rather than released to an open registry.
Use covers collection and product content, store and delivery destinations, home and interiors ranges, and country sites. Registration is closed to the public and the extension carries no aftermarket. It was filed alongside .nextdirect, giving the group namespaces for the retail brand and its online ordering operation separately.
