Change to Registration Rules for Chinese Domains

CNNIC, the registry for all Chinese domains (including .CN, .COM.CN) has informed us that, as of February 10th (today) they will only allow Chinese domain registrations that meet the criteria described below.

Any person or company that wishes to register a Chinese domain must submit documentation proving that your company has a branch in China (with the same name), and that the administrative contact for the new domain is a Chinese citizen (you must submit their ID number).  101domain will send you an automated email with a form to fill out and check off as you provide these documents.

The application material requires the original application form with business seal, company business license (photocopy), and registrant ID (photocopy).  Individuals are not allowed to register.

For more information, you can visit the .CN Domains page or contact one of our domain specialists.
