Researcher shares the future of the domains!

Research from Matthew Zook shows that the domain name industry growth is still increasing rapidly, but has slowed down recently. Interviewed by Domain Name Pulse, Zook compares the growth to that of a super giant like China, and would say that it is still the envy of economists. Due to the large scale growth of the market, according to Zook, the Internet hardly has any new good domains to buy. He uses the example of .de, which has grown 2.5 times its own size in the last ten years, but now has started to slow down. The sheer number of computers and Internet connections in the world give the domain name business a profitable market. Zook predicts that the new gTLDs will not have a big impact on the market, but maybe become a supplement to the already existing economy. To read further on Zooks interview click here.
