.PW registry signs up for URS

The .PW registry has been the first to mandate a rights protection tool under the new gTLD program. The Uniform Rapid Suspension Program is designed to reduce cybersquatters more cheaply then the previous program. Although the old system can automatically transfer a domain to the winner of a dispute. The new system is able to shutdown a domain name until the dispute is resolved. Although it should be standard for all registries, the existing registries must sign up for the new URS system. The .PW registry has done this voluntarily. Signing up for the URS program is showing the rest of the Internet community the commitment of the registry to prevent cybersquatting. The .pw registry is owned by an Indian company called Directi, which applied under an alias to over 31 new gTLDs. To read further on this topic click here.
