ICANN Timing

Adding a public trust commitment to the new gTLDs is proving to be another downfall from ICANN. The Internet community over all is getting frustrated with all the last minute requirements that ICANN is pushing forward onto applicants. Timing is another big complaint that people are frustrated over, for example the comment periods are supposed to be 21 days and now ICANN wants to commit to things before that period is over. Applicants are commenting in the the PIC commitment saying that it should be all or nothing for applicants. The comment period should be over for PICs starting on March 20th, however ICANN wants applicants to commit by the 5th. This doesn’t really make sense in my opinion! To read further click here!
