ICANN up for Job?

The Department of Commerce warns ICANN that they need to be up to snuff with requested made by the global community and tighten internet protocols with rules and conflicts on the internet. While the Department of Commerce has extended the contract with ICANN for another six months they warn that if ICANN would like to continue in this role the public good must superseded all other priorities. The job however is not so easily done, while trademarks, cybersquatting, the new gTLD’s, and many other aspects of the business, this will be a challenge for the company and we hope that they will step up to the plate.
