New applicant guidelines with ICANN

ICANN is going to start publishing new versions of its gTLD agreements that will show customers the special terms they are willing to commit to after listening to backend providers and applicants. The new terms will be highlighted making it easier for the applicant to see the previous agreements and more importantly making it easier for applicants to negotiate new terms of their own. To date there has been over 50 new gTLDs contracts signed and published. These contracts looking nothing like the original applicants handbooks however. The organization will start publishing these changes next month, although they say there will not be any major changes. To read further click here.
