ICANN is tardy

ICANN in June revealed a list of 1,930 gTLD applications that they say would be launching in the first quarter of 2013, however it now will be missed that dead line. The announcement came in the shadow of  the ICANN announcement about how they will be evaluating the gTLD’s.  This should come to no surprise to anyone given how ICANN has come out with everything well behind schedule.  ICANN says that anyone who has an objection still must say so by August 12. That deadline has not changed. The delay could potentially result in applicants needing to withdraw from the application and ICANN is willing to return 70% of the application costs.
