Domain Rights for new gTLD’s

ICANN’s new interest groups, the New TLD Applicants Group (NTAG) and Registrar’s Stakeholders Group (RrSG), has stated that they believe that additional rights protection mechanisms need to be put in place for the new gTLDs. This was recently unveiled during the Toronto meeting held by ICANN’s IP and Business Constituencies (IPC/BC). Collectively ICANN registrants spent over 350 million dollars and have the right to be angry. ICANN has expressed similar concerns and has published Domain Rights, please click here to read them. ICANN will continue to monitor the situation and maintain that the registrants have rights. To read further click here.
