DNSSEC Progress Drawing Nigh

For the last decade, security extensions to the Domain Name System (called DNSSEC for short) have been under development, and the end may be drawing near with the hope that the Internet population world-wide will be using it.

In a nutshell, what it does is patch up the DNS’s security vulnerabilities by creating a chain of trust from the DNS Root, the TLDs, and the SLDs.
