.ZM Domain Requirements & Criteria Zambia FAQ - What kind of contacts will I need to successfully register a .ZM domain name?
- You will need two (2) contacts. The first is an administrative contact while the second contact is the billing contact. These may be the same person.
- Is there a basic introduction to the rules of registering a .ZM domain name?
- Please provide a choice of domain name that will be used to identify your company's network. For example, 101domain's name is 101domain.com. We recommend a domain name of the form company.co.zm. We generally require that the organization being
registered have a presence in Zambia. If you require your domain to be registered in another top level domain (e.g. .com, .org), the
registration process takes a little longer as registration is done through Internic. In most cases an international presence is required for such domains. Please note that you are required to have domain name servers before you submit your registration. If you do not have Primary and Secondary name servers, 101domain can provide domain name services on your behalf.
- What is the minimum amount of a time that a domain name can be registered for?
- 2 years.
- Is there an established registration policy for .ZM domain names?
- Registering a domain name does not confer any legal rights to that name and any disputes between parties over the rights to use a particular name are to be settled between the contending parties using normal legal methods. By applying for the domain name and through the use or continued use of the domain name, the applicant agrees to be bound by the terms of 101domain's current domain name policy (Domain
Registration Policy). The applicant acknowledges and agrees that 101domain may change the terms and conditions of the Domain Registration Policy from time to time as provided in the Domain Registration Policy. The applicant agrees that if use of the domain name is challenged by a third party, or if any dispute arises under this Registration Agreement, as amended, the applicant will abide by the
procedures specified in the Domain Registration Policy. This Registration Agreement shall be governed in all respects by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Zambia. This Registration Agreement is the complete and exclusive agreement of the applicant and 101domain regarding domain names. It supersedes, and its terms govern, all prior proposals, agreements, or other communications between the parties. This Registration Agreement may only be amended as provided in the Domain Registration Policy.
