- Yes. At least two functioning domain names servers (DNS) should be presented for the registered name at request time. Non-accordance to this requirement can result in the failure of the completion of the registration. Contact 101Domain for more information or for more help setting up DNS.
- Why is it necessary that name servers are correctly configured before the registration?
- 101Domain requires that only technically operational domains are registered, in order to avoid overloading the internet with untraceable domains. This does not mean that you have to use the domain immediately. The date of the actual launch is decided by you.
- What kind of contacts will I need to have to register a .US domain name?
- You will need three contacts: an Administrative Contact, a Technical Contact, and a Billing Contact.
- Can I count myself as one of the contacts?
- Yes. Most people are in fact, the Billing Contact. 101Domain recommmends utilizing two other sources for the Administrative and Technical contacts.
