- The right of use for a .ro domain name can be owned by a firm or a person that exist at the registration time.
- Can a .ro domain name can be owned by two entities?
- No, only by one, firm or person.
- Is there any option to choose whether to display the contact details or hide them from the public?
- No. The domain holder has no such option available. According to Romanian law "Legea nr.677/2001" on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, contact details of individuals should not be publicly displayed. The contact details of any other juridical entities which are not subject to the law above are publicly displayed.
- What happens when a .ro domain name is not being used?
- The application for that domain name is not under 101Domain's jurisdiction unfortunately; it may appear or not. If there is no application on the particular domain name for a long time, it doesn't mean that 101Domain can or will take action regarding this matter.
- Can I modify or change a .ro domain name?
- According to .ro rules, a .ro domain name cannot be changed or modified. By law, a domain name is unic and cannot be modified after it has been registered. By modifying any character within a domain name, you essentially have another domain name which can be registered as a new domain name, after sending the registration application and making the required payment.
