  • What is a basic requirement for registering a .PT domain name?
  • For .PT domain registration, a trademark application from Portugal or the European Union (community trademark) is needed and its name should match that of the domain. If you do not have a trademark, 101Domain can apply one in order to meet this requirement.
  • Must I have a dedicated server set up when I register for a .PT domain?

  • What are Primary Name Servers and Secondary Name Servers?
  • A Primary name server is for a domain reads the data for the domain from a file on its host. A Secondary name server is gets data for a domain from another name server that is authoritative for the domain. A secondary name server might refer directly to the primary name server or it might refer to another secondary name server. Primary name server is also known as master name server and secondary name server is also know as slave name server.
  • What kind of contacts will I need to have to register a .PT domain name?
  • You will need three contacts: an Administrative Contact, Technical Contact, and Billing Contact.
