.PE Domain Registration Process Peru FAQ - What if my application is rejected?
- Should the application be rejected, the sender must correct the mistakes made in accordance with the information and instructions provided and re-send the application.
- What is the order of processing new domain names?
- Applications for the registration of a new domain name will be processed by strict order of arrival, without any kind of biased or preferential treatment according to the sender, requesting organization, Internet service provider or any other circumstance.
- What is a typical cause for the rejection of an application?
- Any incorrect or incomplete application will be rejected as well as any application that does not comply with the regulations.
- What happens now after I sent in my application with the correct documentation?
- Once the application has been processed, the favorable or unfavorable result will be communicated to the sender.
- What if the result is unfavorable?
- If the result is unfavorable, the reasons therefore will be indicated (e.g. the proposed domain name has been already registered, the organization has already been delegated another domain name, the proposed domain name does not fulfill the allowed domain regulations, the DNS servers on which the domain name delegation is requested do not answer or are incorrectly configured, etc.).
- What if the result is favorable?
- If the result is favorable, a letter, stating the acceptance of the domain and the accounts where the amount corresponding to the set fee for domain name delegation must be paid, will be sent to the payment contact that has been specified. This mail must be sent through a courier company using a certified letter with proof of reception.
The domain name will be reserved (according to the data provided in the application). This reservation will be temporary and will be subject to the subsequent reception by the Registry of the corresponding Payment Receipt evidencing payment of the set fee for Domain Name Registration. The deadline for the reception is 30 working days as from the reception of the letter issued by the Registry notifying that the domain name has been temporarily reserved. - What if I fail to pay the required fees?
- In case of partial payment or failure to pay the fee for domain name registration, the delegation of the domain name will not be carried out until the beneficiary pays all the requested amounts. If any of these situations lasts over thirty (30) working days, all the procedures and payments made so far will become void.
Paying and sending the "payment receipt" to the Registry must never be made until a Registry communication stating that the "Form" has been processed with a favorable result has been received.
If within the term provided above the Registry does not receive the Payment Receipt or if there is a failure to pay or the payment made is not enough, the domain name provisionally reserved will be dismissed for all purposes and will be available to be reused as from that very moment for its registration by another organization in accordance with the Regulations and Procedures set.
