- The following extensions are available in Malaysia:
- com.my: for commercial organizations/activities
- net.my: for network-related organizations/activities
- org.my: for organizations/activities which do not qualify for other categories
- edu.my: for Malaysian educational organizations only
- gov.my: for Malaysian government organizations only
- mil.my: for Malaysian military organizations only
- name.my: for Malaysian individual's personal use only - Can I apply for more than one domain name?
- Yes.
- Why are new domain name applications rejected?
- The most common reasons are as follows:
- The application has breached a rule governing personal domain.
- Supporting document is not submitted.
- For all domains, except personal domains, the organization name in the supporting document does not match the Registrant organization name. - Can I make changes later on to my domain name record?
- Yes, you may modify your domain name record, delete your domain name and transfer your domain name to another Registrant anytime.
- What happens when my domain name is suspended?
- Suspension of domain name means the domain name is removed from the DNS. All domain name related activities cease functioning, for e.g. websites and e-mail will not work once your domain name is suspended. However, your domain name remains registered. Your domain name is deregistered (i.e. made available to the public) only upon the deletion of your domain name.
