.MO Domain General FAQ Macao FAQ - Where can I find my domain name expiration date?

- We are a company registered in Macau called "New Tai Chong Supermarket", we would like to apply for a domain name under .com.mo , what domain name should we choose for our company?
- According to "Regulation on Domain Name Registration of the Macao Special Administrative Region", when applying for a domain name in the name of the company, the domain name must be consistent with the company name. In general, company name can be classifed into long form (e.g. New Tai Chong Supermarket), short form (e.g. New Tai Chong) or abbreviation (e.g. N.T.C. Supermarket). Therefore, domain names suggested for consideration include but not limit to: newtaichongsupermarket.com.mo, newtaichong.com.mo and ntcsupermarket.com.mo.
- "We are a nonprofit organization registered in Macao SAR. We are planning to conduct an event to promote environmental protection conscious among Macao citizens in March next year. The event will last for 10 months. In order to promote the mentioned event and the environmental protection information, we would like to apply for an ORG.MO domain, in which the domain name is the same as the name of the event, and it would be deactivated once the event finished. However, the mentioned domain name has no relationship with our organization name, is it possible for us to apply for such a domain name?"
- According to "Regulation on Domain Name Registration of the Macao Special Administrative Region", besides registering domain name with organization name or trademark, nonprofit organizations or nonprofit educational institutes may apply for short term domain name under ORG.MO or EDU.MO which related to their nonprofit services or activities. To apply for short term domain name, besides the original documents required for applying a domain name under ORG.MO or EDU.MO, applicant has to submit brief description of the related services or activities. The content of the description should include name, objectives, contents, target groups, duration of the services or activities, and estimate duration for using the short term domain name. The duration for short term domain name is one year in general, and it will be revoked after the valid period specified by the organization.
