- .LY is the official country code Top Level Domain (TLD) of Libya.
- Why should I register a .LY domain?
- * Forward your domain name to any other URL/website on the web.
* Forward up to 100 sub-domains/hosts.
* Choose to show (Redirect) or to hide (Frame) the forwarding address.
* Create a catch-all sub-domain domain.
- What is a "Registrant?"
- Any entity or person that approaches a recognized Registrar (101Domain, in this case), to register a new domain name or modify the information of an already registered domain name.
- What is a "Registrar?"
- An entity recognized by the Registrar (101Domain) to administer the process of registration and modification of domain names under the second-level domains: com.ly, org.ly, med.ly, sch.ly, id.ly, net.ly, etc.
- Can 101Domain delete a registered domain name?
- Yes. 101Domain reserves the right to suspend or delete a domain name at any time in any of the following cases:
* 101Domain finds any of the information supplied to be incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate.
* The Applicant/Registrant is in violation of any of the terms and conditions in this Regulation.
* An order is received from a Libyan court.
** The deleted domain name will be put on hold for 3 (three) weeks before it becomes available for reuse to other applicants, unless necessity dictates deleting it permanently or putting it on hold for longer periods.
