.LI Domain Registration Process Liechtenstein FAQ - What is the first step of the registration process?
- You must first check to make sure that the domain name you want is available. You can do this by using our search application or a Whois application.
- Can I get a "rushed" .LI domain name registration?
- No. 101Domain.com registers domain names on a first come, first served basis.
- Is it possible for me simply to reserve a domain name?
- No. A reservation in the sense of a provisional registration or flagging a domain name for registration in future is not possible.
- How long does it take until a domain name I have applied for is actually registered? How will I find out whether the registration was successful or not?
- As a rule, the requested domain names will be registered without delay. You will see the feedback to this effect immediately after you have sent off the request, and it usually takes just a day or two for a site to be "live."
* Sometimes a domain name cannot be registered immediately because a number of things still have to be clarified. In this case, once the request has been sent off, you will see an immediate indication that the request has been received.
* A further reason for a delay in registration can be that the holder or billing contact has an unpaid invoice to 101Domain. In this case, you will be informed by e-mail or fax of what happens next. - Can I change my domain name? I've registered the wrong domain name. What can I do about it?
- Once a domain name has been registered, it is impossible to change it. If you decide you don't want the domain name you have registered, you will have to delete it and make a new application for the one you really want. Alternatively, you can keep the name already registered and register a new one as well.
