What are the rules in regards to length of the domain, characters to be used in a domain, etc.?
The syntax rules that will apply for the registration of a domain name are as follows:
a) The only valid characters for a domain name are the English alphabet letters (from a to z), Arabic digits (from 0 to 9) and hyphens (-). The domain name does not distinguish whether the letters are small or upper caps;
b) The domain names cannot begin nor end with a hyphen (-) nor have two hyphens (--) in it;
c) The minimum length for a second-level domain name Ander .cu is three (3) characters, although the recommendation is five (5) characters minimum;
d) The maximum length admitted for a second-level domain name under .cu is 63 characters, although it is recommended not to use such a long name.
