Must I obtain a Cuban trademark to be able to register a domain?
Please notice that in this country an identity trademark Search before the Cuban Trademark Office is required. The cost of identity trademark Search is included when you pay for the .CU domain name. The Identity trademark search takes around 2 weeks; the whole process of .CU domain takes around 4 weeks. If an Identical trademark is found, we will refund the full amount paid less the cost of identity trademark search that we must perform in Cuba (USD 100). Owner must be a company, individuals are not accepted.
