  • What is an instance that I might want to dispute a domain name?
  • If you think a .cat domain name has been registered that is not honoring the domain's registration policies, or a .cat domain name is abusing your personal or company trade mark rights, or if you believe a domain is somehow affecting your interests, you might want to dispute the particular domain name.
  • Is there an established Dispute Policy for .cat domain names?
  • As any other generic domain, 101Domain honors the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) approved by ICANN. When you register a .cat domain name, whatever registrar you use, you must accept this policy (also included in the registration contract).
This conflict resolution policy is applied when the owner of a trade mark believes that:
    (a) the .cat domain is equal or too similar to its trade mark.
    (b) the holder of the domain does not have any right or legitimate interest.
    (c) the .cat domain has been registered but is not being properly used.
