- A Domain Name is your address on the Internet. It is your unique identity on the Internet that corresponds to your numeric address "IP." Or in simple terms, a domain name is the part of your Internet address that comes after "www".
- What does .BT stand for?
- The two-letter abbreviation, .BT, is a unified standard system agreed upon to identify and reserve domain names specified for Bhutan.
- What is a "registrant?"
- A registrant is that of the person or organization using the domain name, i.e. it is the name of the Bhutan resident or registered company that qualifies for registration under the Domain Policies. It is not the web-hosting company or agent, but rather their client.
- What are the advantages of having a domain name?
- It lets people find you or your organization easily on the Internet. You can have an easy-to-remember email address (myself@myname.com.bt).
When your organization names are registered as domain names, they can be used as a part of promoting your organization, brands, or your product on the Internet.
