Should I check first to see if the name I want is registered?
Yes. Be sure that the name is not registered, reserved by the Managing Committee, or if it is a notorious trademark of the INPI. If the research results in Inexistent Domain or information on active tickets (outstanding), means that the domain could be registered. Otherwise, it could not be registered.
